Contemporary Issues
Informing through dialogue.
As our world becomes a global village, as the pressures of growing population on our planet’s resources increase, and as our notions of stability and security change, the Northwest Danish Foundation believes that it is essential to provide opportunities for members of the community to learn about and explore pressing contemporary issues.
Particularly, the Foundation seeks to ensure that the contributions of Danish technology and Danish social experience inform local dialogue. Finding sustainable solutions to contemporary problems is the primary goal of the Northwest Danish Foundation’s interest in such areas as renewable resources, population and environment, and alternative energy sources. Issues arising from the aging of the general population are also important to the Foundation. Advocacy for seniors and issues related to the quality of the social, physical, and intellectual life of seniors are a fundamental part of the Foundation’s contemporary issues initiatives.
