Concert performance at Saint Luke's Lutheran Church in Bellevue, WA


The Northwest Danish Foundation
and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church are proud to present AmadeusEnsemblet from Copenhagen, Denmark Monday, June 11 at 7PM. The 16 member ensemble was founded in 1993 and plays wind music of European origin. 

Conductor is Danish oboist, Henrik Goldschmidt, a solo oboist at the Copenhagen Royal Theatre orchestra. The ensemble plays a broad range of classic and contemporary music and often plays music rarely performed by other orchestras. Repertoire examples:

 “Aus der Werkstatt eines Invaliden”(1943), Richard Strauss

 “Gran Partita”, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

“Danish Rhapsody” (1998), Danish composer Leif Kayser.  This piece was dedicated to the ensemble, and in it you will hear fantasies over 10 beloved Danish tunes.

Music for a Tiny Kingdom” (2005), Danish composer Søren Hyldgård, who writes music for films and TV. This piece was composed on the specific request of the ensemble and is a work in three parts

Carmen”, George Bizet
