Each summer in late June and early August, children gather for a week of activities that include learning Danish language, culture, history, music dance and traditional food. The Northwest Danish Foundation proudly offers two camps each summer. In Oregon, we offer Himmelbjerget Danish Camp, a residential opportunity for youths ages 10-18 (4th-12th grade students). In Washington, we offer Dane Camp, a day camp for children ages 4 - 10. Each camp is filled with the unique opportunity to celebrate and experience Danish life. Both camps are open to the public and we provide at least a 1 counselor to 5 child ratio. We provide our campers with a safe, nurturing, learning environment staffed by trained volunteers and counselors.
