Seniors

Taking Care of Those in Need

From the founding of the Danish Old People’s Home in 1923, the organization that is now the Northwest Danish Foundation has made care for community elders a primary concern.

The Foundation provides medical, housing, and transportation assistance to elders in need to help them stay in their own homes longer.   Its seniors program has evolved to also include services and activities that provide quality-of-life enriching social and educational opportunities for the growing number of independent seniors within our community.  The value in Danish tradition for an active, engaged life for all forms the basis of the Foundation’s seniors program.

Below are just a few of the programs offered for Seniors by the Northwest Danish Foundation. Check our calendar of events for more information and to see when these groups get together.
