2006 Scandinavian Midsummer Festival at the German American Cultural Center
Celebrate summer’s arrival the Scandinavian way. This 77-year-old festival, sponsored by the Scandinavian Heritage Foundation and League of Swedish Societies, promises to raise cultural awareness and celebrate the long, warm days of summer and the fertile fields. Traditionally dressed Scandinavians, representing Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland, greet visitors to the festival, which also features live music, dancing, games, crafts and food.
