The Portland Happy Danes will be taking a trip to Oregon City!
We hope you will join us as we explore an area closer to Portland and enjoy some good food and great company.
We will begin our trip with a movie at the OMNIMAX at OMSI: Hurricane on the Bayou : Narrated by Academy Award®-winning actress Meryl Streep and driven by a rousing Jazz, Blues and Gospel-fueled soundtrack, Hurricane on the Bayou is both a haunting document of a storm's human effects and a compelling call to restore Louisiana's wetlands, rebuild New Orleans, and honor the place where America's most vibrant home-grown culture was born.

in Oregon City. Please bring $$ for lunch.
And visit the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center: Each visit to the Interpretive Center includes a time-specific living history presentation and "Bound for Oregon" show in a theater setting. Hands-on activities from pioneer life and exhibits complete the experience. Visitors spend an average of 2 hours at the Center.
If we have time we can stop by the Oregon City Municipal Elevator: An elevator which connects two neighborhoods in Oregon City, which lie at different elevations, with each other. There have been two such elevators in existence; the current elevator was built in 1952. The elevator is one of only four outdoor municipal elevators in the world.
Cost is $20 per person - We must have 25 participants! We will have one more Happy Danes trip in March, but then you will have to wait until the Fall for another exciting adventure.
