We are excited to announce our Holiday community outreach program to benefit the Friends of the Children.  This holiday season, the Northwest Danish Foundation would like to reach out to our community and help underprivileged youths and their families have a great Holiday season.  We will sponsor children and families in both Seattle and Portland.  To kick off our holiday program we are having Holiday Adoption Program Dinners in Seattle and Portland.  Click on the links for more information.

Friends of the Children is the only program in the nation that connects our society’s most vulnerable young children with paid, professional mentors for 12 years. Children facing challenges—from poverty, homelessness and poor academic performance to family histories of domestic violence, substance abuse and prostitution—are selected in kindergarten, and are enrolled in the program until high school graduation.

We hope that will join us in helping our local community have a wonderful holiday season.  All it takes is a few minutes of your time to contact the NWDF and see what families are in need of this year.  By November 27^th we will have received information from the “Friends” and we will be all set to start our Holiday Adoption Program.

We will "adopt" 2-3 large families to support with gifts of food, clothing, toys, books, etc.  You can participate by donating specific items that have been identified by the families or you can give us funds to purchase the gifts in your name.  Either way your donation will support these families in need and ensure they have a wonderful holiday season.

Your gift will make a difference in the life of a child. Investment in children today gives them a brighter future tomorrow and gives our society the benefit of their contributions to our communities.  We accept donations for our holiday adoption program year round.  Specific family needs are available in early December.
